Christmas at Home…

We seem to always have at least 2 or 3 Christmases.  We alternate having Christmas with the Wistners every other year.  In those in between years we have our Christmas at home.  The last couple of off years Gram and Pawpaw have spent the night.

Christmas Eve we open a couple of presents from each other and then on Christmas morning we see what Santa brought us.  This year was an off year.  Mom and Daddy were here and we had a small Christmas at home.  We went to Communion and then came home to do presents.

Everyone wears their Christmas pajamas and we actually had to wake Erin up this year.  She NEVER sleeps in but was too excited to go to sleep on Christmas Eve so she actually ended up sleeping in!

Christmas in the Country…

As per tradition we have Christmas in Centerville with the Mize side of the family.  It was a lot of fun.  The kids love going up there and to top it off it was Christmas so they really had a good time.

I think the older they get the quicker the present unwrapping goes.  Instead of taking turns they just all tear in and it’s mass chaos.

Christmas

As I wrote before, Sparkle made a triumphant return.  We have a lot of fun with her this year.  Tommy got into it too.  I would forget to move her and I would wake up kicking myself only to find her in some creative place that Tommy had found.

Whew!

Neglected…

I’ve been neglecting the blog!  I apologize.  We’ve been so busy that I haven’t taken the time to write.  I miss it.

So here goes… I’m going to rectify the situation…

The Return of Sparkle…

Sparkle the Elf on the Shelf has returned.  We love her.  This year was especially great.  I’m glad I started her early.  Erin was beyond excited to have Sparkle come.

The first morning she was in Erin’s stocking and she literally squealed with excitement.  She stood in front of the fireplace all morning talking to her.  It was the cutest thing ever.

When it was time to leave she came back in the house 3 times to tell Sparkle bye and that she loves her.
