On Your Mark...Get Set...Go!

Erin's Trike-a-Thon for St. Jude's was today.  I'm very proud of our family and friends for giving to such a good cause.  Erin was able to raise $235.00.

The Trike-a-Thon was hilarious.  Pawpaw pushed Erin while we snapped pictures and took video.  Erin was the last little kid on the little kid track.  (There was a little track in the middle, then a bigger track around it and then a 3rd track to the side for kids in the middle of the two.)  Jake was on the big track, Luke was on the smaller track and Erin was on the smallest track.  The Mizes had GTL covered today.

Pawpaw pushed her to the very end.  I was ready to go but he said he couldn't leave until they beat everyone else!  Now I know where that competitive streak I have comes from!  Anyway, Erin finished and never once got upset.  She was chill the whole time Pawpaw pushed her.

Jake went 90 mph the entire ride.  I saw him weaving in and out of bikes at one point.  The only time he stopped was about an hour into it he needed some water.  Luke on the other hand wasn't as impressed.  He stopped after about 10 minutes.  He was content to stand on the side lines and cheer on the other Mizes.  Aunt Mimi and William showed up to cheer us on too.

Here are some pictures from today.  I tried to get some of everyone.

William's Party

Here are some shots from William's party on Saturday.  It turned out great.  We had a great time and it was very well attended.  Thanks to all the ladies who helped put it on.  I appreciated everything you did before and after!

The Calm Before the Storm...

Tomorrow is William's welcome to the family party.  We're having it here at our house.  We put it together on such short notice that we didn't do an RSVP.  It's crazy.  We could have 5 or 100 people here tomorrow.

I'm not even sweating it yet.  I'm sure by 1:15 tomorrow I'll be wishing for Valium but tonight we're just waiting for Bridgette, Wade and Julia to arrive.  Julia - aka - BFF and big sister - is getting here too late to have kept Erin up.  So, they'll have a nice reunion in the morning when Erin wakes up the house for breakfast.

In the meantime,Rox got shipped off to Gram and Pawpaw's for the weekend.  She scares Julia to death with her yipping and I don't want to have to worry about her with any little kids tomorrow.  So, she's living life high on the spoiled rotten hog this weekend.  I'm sure she'll do her normal hunger strike when she gets back to our house on Sunday.  After a couple of nights of the old people giving her chicken broth on her food and treats for dinner she doesn't want to eat for us.  Not that I blame her.

Pictures to be posted later.  Peace out!
