Okay I bragged on Tommy's super immune system just a little too soon. Seems like weeks of Erin and Angela cooties have caught up with him. He now has a stuffy nose. Yes, that's it. A stuffy nose. - Wait, I'm mustering up sympathy.
I on the other hand, had to go BACK to the doctor because of my cough. Erin finished her anti-biotics yesterday for her sinus infection and they say I have viral bronchitis. Only time will make mine better. In the meantime, they gave me daytime and night time cough meds and I seem to be doing better. I was just this side of needing an iron lung. Erin is fine and never really let the sinus thing get her down.
Just have to brag on myself. I bought Erin the cutest board book every. I thought how great it would be to help her with the names on the grandparents if she had a book she could look at. So, one night when I was coughing myself to death and not sleeping, I got on line and found a site where you create your own board books. I made Erin a board book of her very own and put our pictures and that of her grandparents and Roxie in there. Of course, she can't care less about the book and calls everyone "Momma" - including Tommy and the dog! After you point out that it's Daddy and "Dee" (her name for Roxie) she'll say them but before that, everyone is Momma.
I guess all kids are like that. She has certain books that she just loves. Then all of a sudden, she'll get tired of them and dig out one that I didn't even think she cared about. Right now we love "Dave", it's a dinosaur book that someone gave her for Christmas and/or Birthday. I can't remember because she never showed much interest in it until lately. Now we can't get enough of Dave and will scream out Dave at the end of the book.
So, because I am so proud of my book that I created I keep pushing it on her like a drug dealer on a street corner. My kid just says no! Very easily. So, it's all Dave all the time. Not sure if you (whoever you are) remembers giving her that book, but she thanks you from the bottom of her heart.
