Obsessed…

I am now obsessed with my Yeti cup.  I bought it after Tommy bought his.  I love, love, love it.

I even took it to Washington with me when we went.  It’s been monogrammed and I have a Dallas Cowboys sticker on the back of it.

If you don’t have one, I highly recommend them.  It keeps ice about 12 hours at a time.  I can fill it up in the morning and still have ice by bedtime!  It’s a stainless steel miracle.

SuperStar….

While we were at the Rodeo on Monday the craziest thing happened.  They were shooting a Ford commercial at the Ford exhibit.  I didn’t realize what they were doing and we walked right in the middle of the shot.

There were a couple of bales of hay stacked up under one of the lifts for the truck.  I told the kids to sit on it so I could take a picture.  Needless to say I realized what happened when the cameraman came over to me in a huff.

In the meantime, the kids climbed up on the hay and Amy started taking a picture.  Erin decided to be herself and put her hand on her hip and posed for the camera.  There was a lady taking still photos for the commercial.  She saw Erin and immediately started taking their picture.  The two actors were cracking up and the guy told me how cute she was.

As we were walking away one of the crew/director/actor told Amy that we needed to get her a talent agent!  They were dead serious too.

It really has me thinking.  Erin loves to perform and is really good at improvising little shows and dances.  There is an acting studio not far from the house.  I’m thinking this summer I might start her in some acting classes.  If she likes it we might see where it takes us.  I would never pressure her and be a total stage mom but she obviously loves the spotlight.

Here’s a pic of the photographer taking their picture and Erin striking her pose.

A Trip to the Rodeo…

Now I’m caught up with the blog posts.

We went to the Rodeo on Monday.  Amy, Daddy and I took William and Erin to the kid’s section of the Rodeo.  This year Lee went with us.

It was 90 degrees on Monday so I wore a dress to keep cool.  We all had on our boots and I knew it would be hot in them.  I was thankful I had it on the dress right up until it was time to ride the super slide.  I could have handled the going down the slide gracefully but could never have gotten up off the end of the slide without flashing the goods.

Lee stepped up and took Erin on the slide.  Amy said at the top William insisted on going by himself.  I shot a video of them coming down.  William looks scared to death.  Lee and Erin were very happy.

I intentionally shot the video in slow motion.  It turned out hilariously.

Our Trip to Disney…

I honestly can’t remember if I posted this video from our trip to Disney.

Our hotel was on the boat transit at Disney.  It was wonderful.  Other people had to wait for the bus but we were on the boat route.  One night after we had been there all day we were going back for our 2nd trip after our rest.  We brought Erin’s ipad with us for the lines we had to stand in.

She got the ipad out on the boat trip to the Magic Kingdom.  Her and Annabel turned on Frozen and started singing the song.  Erin the ham started really belting it out.  Everyone on the boat was laughing.  At the end they clapped for them.  Erin was so proud.

Erin is such a little performer.  I think we need to get her into drama or acting lessons or something.

Baking With My Daddy…

Tommy had his tickets to the Texans again this year.  That means on Game days he tailgates.  Him and his buddy have a group of people they tailgate with.  It’s very organized.  They have themes and have a FB page to list what they’re bringing.

One Sunday Erin put on her baking hat and apron and decided to help him out.  I grabbed my camera just to shoot a picture but ended up shooting a video instead.  It was totally unintentional but I’m so glad I got it on video.  She did all of this on her own with no prompting from us.  She even insisted on the hat and apron without us saying a word.

This might be one of my most favorite Erin videos ever.  This is just a glimpse at what life is like with her on a daily basis.
