It’s the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo time of year. Yay! We loaded up Erin and William (I loaded up Gram and Pawpaw too!) and we took off. We met Amy and Aunt Lolo at the train station with William. The kids love the Park and Ride for the train. They get to ride it for one stop, but they love it.
This year they’re too big for strollers so I packed the collapsible wagon. Good call. They climbed in it before we even left the parking lot. They look so cute all loaded up.
We rode ponies and camels. They were a little unsure of the camel but got to ride together so all was good. I think William was excited because the camel was named Matthew.
The baby animals and rabbits were a big hit in the exhibit hall. There was a big display of eggs and there were chicks hatching while they got to watch. Beside it there was an display of the new born chicks. It was very cute. They were thrilled. Next to that was a chicken coop. Erin ran up to it in front of all these strangers and started yelling “Hi chickens, I hope to see you again soon!”. She got quite a few laughs. It’s hard to remind an excited 4 year old that she needs to wait in line.
Here are some pics from the day. The only thing we forgot to do was the Petting Zoo. They were so tired by 3:00 that we called it a day. Erin fell asleep on the way home.
